W-24 - TTC Rail Grinder (1925-1955)

TTC Rail Grinder W-24 was converted from ex-TRC class E car #1706 in 1925 and helped its compatriots W-22, and W-25 for the next thirty years. In 1955, the car was retired and shipped off to the Branford Electric Railway Association's Shore Line Trolley Museum in East Haven, Connecticut. There, it was restored to its original TRC look and number, and it remains here to this day. Here, we see Rail Grinder W-24 heading eastbound on King, just east of Wilson Park Road in June 1953.
