W-22 TTC Rail Grinder (1924-1955)

TTC Rail Grinder W-22 (ex-Toronto Railway Company #1708) was converted in 1924 and served the commission for over thirty years. It's seen here along with compatriot W-24 (which survives at the Shore Line Trolley Museum in Branford, Connecticut, restored to its TRC 1706 appearance) at Hillcrest Shops on May 30, 1953. The photographer is unknown and the image is courtesy the Charles Houser collection.
