TTC W-08

W-8 - TTC Construction Car (1909-1972)

Construction car W-8 stands front and centre with construction car W-4 off to one side at Hillcrest on September 8, 1908. W-8 was built by the Toronto Railway Company as car #8 in 1909, while W-4 was built by the TRC as car #4 in 1904. Both were inherited by the Toronto Transportation Commission in September 1921 and renumbered. They served out their years until 1972 when they were rendered inactive, and donated to the Halton County Radial Railway for use as parts. This photo is by Ted Wickson.
