TTC W-07

W-7 - TTC Construction Car (1921-1964)

TTC's construction car W-7 sits next to TTC dump car W-16 and Peter Witt car 2896 at Russell Carhouse in July 4, 1961. W-7 was built by the Toronto Railway Company in 1909 as #7, and was taken over and renumbered by the TTC in 1921. This car was used to haul materials to various work sites, and it continued in operation until sold for scrap in 1964. W-16 was built by the St. Louis Car Company in 1921 for the TTC and was sold for scrap in 1967. The photographer is unknown, but the image is from the John Knight collection.
