TTC W-04

W-4 - Construction Car (1904-1972)

W-4 was built by the Toronto Railway Company as car #4 in 1904. It was renumbered after being taken over by the the Toronto Transportation Commission in September 1921. It served the Commission until 1972 when it was declared surplus. It was donated to the Halton County Radial Railway for use as parts. W-4 is seen here on May 13, 1966 westbound on Richmond Street, approaching Bay. The photographer is unknown, and the image comes to us from the B. Nixon collection.
