Road closure, MiWay detour, October 1



From 9 a.m. until 4 p.m. Tuesday, October 1, the City of Mississauga is closing:

  • Duke of York Boulevard, between Burnhamthorpe Road West and Webb Drive

to accommodate Region of Peel contractors installing a new water main. (The work is just one component of the larger Burnhamthorpe water project to improve water services in the Mississauga City Centre area.)

MiWay is detouring buses along this route, while the lane is blocked:

  • 91 Hillcrest - Cooksville GO.

From 9 a.m. until 4 p.m. Tuesday, October 1, southbound buses operate along their regular route to Living Arts Drive and Burnhamthorpe Road West, then detour:

westward along Burnhamthorpe West; and
southward along Confederation Parkway to Webb Drive,
resuming their regular route westward along Webb.

Southbound buses skip their regular stops

  • on Burnhamthorpe Road West at Duke of York Boulevard,
  • on Duke of York Boulevard at Webb Drive and
  • on Webb Drive west of Duke of York Boulevard.

Instead, southbound buses drop off or pick up passengers at temporary stops

  • on Confederation Parkway south of Burnhamthorpe Road West.

Northbound buses reverse the southbound detour routing.

Northbound buses skip their regular stops

  • on Webb Drive east of Confederation Parkway and
  • on Burnhamthorpe Road West at Living Arts Drive.

Instead, northbound buses drop off or pick up passengers at temporary stops

  • on Confederation Parkway at Burnhamthorpe Road West.
