Metrolinx contractors continue building the future Eglinton Crosstown light rail transit line between Mount Dennis and Kennedy.

From 6 a.m. until 6 p.m. Saturday, July 13, crews are pouring concrete

  • at the intersection of Eglinton Avenue West with Dufferin Street,

near the site of the future Fairbank Station.

The concrete will form part of the future station main entrance. The crews are placing concrete pumps on Vaughan Road and in the main-entrance work zone and concrete trucks will queue on Vaughan Road west of Northcliffe Boulevard. Dufferin Street and Eglinton Avenue West remain open to traffic.

For transit passengers

  • 29 Dufferin;
  • 32 Eglinton West;
  • 329 Dufferin overnight;
  • 332 Eglinton West overnight; an

For pedestrians

  • The north-south crosswalk on the west side of Dufferin at Eglinton remains closed.

For motorists

  • Work zones block westbound curb lanes on the north side of Eglinton east and west of Dufferin.
  • The work zone on the north side of Eglinton west of Dufferin extends into the intersection, blocking southbound curb lanes.
  • One lane is available to traffic in both directions on Eglinton east and west of Dufferin.
  • One lane is available to traffic in both directions on Dufferin north and south of Eglinton.
  • The City of Toronto is prohibiting all turns at the intersection of Dufferin with Eglinton.
  • You can’t turn left from northbound Dynevor Road onto westbound Eglinton.
