The TTC is closing the Line 1 Yonge - University subway between Lawrence West and St Clair West stations after 11 p.m. two evenings this week. Tuesday, June 11 and Wednesday, June 12, Line 1 trains operate only between Vaughan Metropolitan Centre and Lawrence West stations and between St Clair West and Finch stations after 11 p.m.

During this closure, TTC crews are maintaining the tracks, keeping them in a state of good repair.

Shuttle buses partially replace subway service, dropping off or picking up passengers on the street near most stations on the closed section of the line.

Most stations on the closed section of Line 1 remain open so that passengers can connect with buses and streetcars or buy fares. However, Glencairn Stations is closed.

WheelTrans service is available if you need accessible service in the closure area. Ask any TTC employee about Wheel-Trans service.

The TTC also scheduled an early closure of this section of Line 1 for Monday, June 10 and Thursday, June 13. It has cancelled its work those nights to support Toronto Raptors fans who plan to travel by subway to Scotiabank Arena or “Jurassic Park” (outside the arena) to cheer the team during Games 5 and 6 of the National Basketball Association’s championship series.

This is the third time this year that the TTC has closed this section of Line 1.

It previously closed this section of the line:
