Eglinton Crosstown LRT - Surface section:
Concrete pour at West Don River bridge

Eglinton Crosstown header.jpg

Metrolinx contractors continue building the future Eglinton Crosstown light rail transit line between Mount Dennis and Kennedy.

Crews continue building the LRT “guideway” — the transit-only lanes in the centre of the roadway, including tracks and passenger amenities

  • on Eglinton Avenue East at the West Don River bridge

between the sites of the future Sunnybrook Park and Laird stops.

As part of the project, the contractors are also rehabilitating the bridge, including:

  • replacing the deck; and
  • reinforcing and repairing the abutments and beams.

From 4 a.m. until 6 p.m. Thursday, June 6, the City of Toronto is closing the road and trail under the bridge to accommodate crews who are pouring concrete. The work zone blocks access to the parking lot at the E.T. Seton Park for the safety of pedestrians, cyclists and motorists.
