Eglinton Crosstown LRT - Surface section:
Concrete pour for track-slab near Eglinton Square

Eglinton Crosstown header.jpg

Metrolinx contractors continue building the future Eglinton Crosstown light rail transit line between Mount Dennis and Kennedy.

Crews continue building the LRT “guideway” — the transit-only lanes in the centre of the roadway, including tracks and passenger amenities

  • on Eglinton Avenue East between Eglinton Square and Pharmacy Avenue

between the sites of the future Pharmacy and O’Connor stops.

From “as early as” 7 a.m. until 7 p.m. Wednesday, May 15, crews are delivering and pouring concrete on Eglinton East. Concrete trucks arrive to the site from the east and the west along Eglinton about every nine to ten minutes. Truck drivers stage their vehicles — await their turn to deliver concrete — in the left lanes beside the work zone just east of Eglinton Square.

Traffic-control personnel will be available to direct pedestrians and motorists.

  • 70 O’Connor; and
  • 924 Victoria Park express.

For pedestrians

  • All sidewalks remain open.

For motorists
