Eglinton Crosstown LRT - Mount Pleasant:
Concrete pour for station roof, May 15

Eglinton Crosstown header.jpg

Metrolinx contractors continue building the future Eglinton Crosstown light rail transit line between Mount Dennis and Kennedy.

“As early as” 5 a.m. until about 1 p.m. Wednesday, May 15, crews pour concrete in the southeast work zone

  • at the intersection of **Eglinton Avenue East with Mount Pleasant Road

near the site of the future Mount Pleasant Station.

The concrete will form part of the roof of station. Crews will set up a concrete pump in the work zone. Eight concrete trucks an hour will arrive at the site and drivers “stage” their vehicles — await their turn to deliver material to the site — on the south side of Eglinton east of Taunton Road. Crews start working early in the morning to ensure the integrity and continuity of the pour.
