GO introducing new express trains
along Lakeshore East line, April 17



GO Transit is introducing two new express trains — one in each direction — along the 09 Lakeshore East line, starting Wednesday, **April 17. The trains drop off or pick up passengers in Oshawa, Whitby, Ajax and Pickering GO stations, but operate without stopping between Pickering and Union Station.

The new westbound train leaves Oshawa GO at 7:50 a.m., stops in Whitby at 7:56 a.m., Ajax at 8:04 a.m. and Pickering at 8:09 a.m., then operates express to Union, arriving at 8:42 a.m.

The new eastbound train leaves Union at 4:50 p.m., operates express to Pickering, arriving at 5:23 p.m. It then stops in Ajax at 5:28 p.m. and Whitby at 5:35 p.m. It arrives in Oshawa at 5:43 p.m.

Both trains have 12 coaches to give you as much room as possible. The trains do not connect at Oshawa with buses along the 90 Lakeshore East route.
