Subway closes early, Finch to Lawrence,
March 10 to 13

The TTC is closing the Line 1 Yonge - University subway between Finch and Lawrence stations early three nights this week. From Sunday, March 10 until Wednesday, March 13, the TTC is closing the Yonge branch of the line north of Lawrence at 11 p.m. Line 1 subway trains operate only between Lawrence and Vaughan Metropolitan Centre stations after 11 p.m. those evenings.

Shuttle buses replace subway service. The buses start and end their trips in the terminals at Finch and Lawrence Stations. They stop on Yonge Street near all other stations along the closed section of the line.

While this part of the line is closed, TTC crews are maintaining the infrastructure.

Finch, Sheppard - Yonge, York Mills and Lawrence stations remain open after 11 p.m. so you can buy fares or connect with buses along other routes. However, North York Centre Station closes at 11 p.m.

Wheel-Trans is available, if you require accessible service. However, since Lawrence Station does not have an elevator, if you’re travelling northbound on Line 1 and you require an accessible connection, exit at Eglinton Station and ask any TTC employee about Wheel-Trans service.
