Eglinton Crosstown LRT - Fairbank:
Concrete pour, lane closures, February 8, 9

Eglinton Crosstown header.jpg

Metrolinx contractors continue building the future Eglinton Crosstown light rail transit line between Mount Dennis and Kennedy.

From 7 p.m. Friday, February 8 until about 7 a.m. Saturday, February 9, crews are pouring concrete at the site of the main entrance area for the future Fairbank Station. The concrete will form the concourse level of the main entrance.

The crews are placing concrete pumps in the work zone and on Vaughan Road south of the main entrance site. Concrete trucks will queue in the southbound lane of Dufferin Street between Eglinton Avenue West and Hunter Street. More than 100 trucks will arrive at the site during the course of the 12-hour pour. Dufferin and Eglinton West will remain open while crews deliver and pour the concrete, although you can expect delays for through traffic.

To ensure the continuity of the pour, the crews work overnight, when traffic is lighter.
