Eglinton Crosstown LRT - Forest Hill:
Open house on Bathurst closure, January 16

Metrolinx contractors continue building the future Eglinton Crosstown light rail transit line between Mount Dennis and Kennedy.

Metrolinx intends to ask the City of Toronto to close:

  • Bathurst Street between Wembley Avenue and Eglinton Avenue West

to all traffic to speed up construction of the future Forest Hill Station.

By closing Bathurst Street, Metrolinx says, it can reduce the length of time that crews block parts of the roadway by half.

During an upcoming open house, you can speak with experts about construction progress and methods and ask questions about the road closure.

The open house takes place:

Wednesday, January 16
From 7 until 9 p.m.
Beth Tzedec Congregation,
1700 Bathurst Street.

  • Northbound buses along the 7 Bathurst route to Bathurst to Ave Road. Cross Bathurst at the signal to the venue.
  • Eastbound buses along the 32 Eglinton West route to Eglinton Avenue West east of Bathurst Street. Walk two blocks southward along Bathurst to the venue.
  • Westbound buses along the 32 Eglinton West route to Eglinton West at Forest Hill Road. Walk westward one block to Bathurst, cross at the signal to the southwest corner. Then walk southward one block to the venue.

Metrolinx and its contractors held an earlier open house on the same proposal to close the street Tuesday, December 11.
