Wilson / Bathurst construction:
TTC detour, starting January 7

Update — Tuesday, May 21, 12:54 a.m.: Work on the project again blocks the traffic lanes — and the TTC is again detouring buses — starting Tuesday, May 21.

Starting 7 a.m., Monday, January 7, City of Toronto contractors are installing water mains on

  • Wilson Avenue between Collinson Boulevard and Bathurst Street.

The work zone restricts eastbound traffic lanes on Wilson. The City is also prohibiting left turns from eastbound Wilson to northbound Bathurst.

Due to the left-turn prohibition, the TTC is detouring buses along this route:

  • 160 Bathurst North.

TTC passengers aboard buses along these routes can also expect delays:

  • 96 Wilson;
  • 165 Weston Rd North;
  • 186 Wilson rocket; and
  • 396 Wilson overnight.

This phase of the water-main installation project and the TTC detour and delays continue “three to five weeks” or until February 10.

160 Bathurst North

Southbound buses operate along their regular route.

From 7 a.m. Monday, January 7 until (about) Saturday, February 10, northbound buses operate along their regular route to Wilson Heights Boulevard and Ansford Avenue, then detour:

eastward along Ansford;
northward along Faywood Boulevard; and then
eastward along Invermay Avenue to Bathurst Street,
resuming their regular route northward along Bathurst.

Northbound buses skip their regular stops

  • on Wilson Avenue across from Faywood Boulevard and Allingham Gardens and beside #379 Wilson and
  • on Bathurst Street at Southbourne Avenue and across from Invermay Avenue.
