Eglinton Crosstown LRT - Mount Pleasant:
Longer work hours, starting January 11

Eglinton Crosstown header.jpg

Metrolinx contractors continue building the future Eglinton Crosstown light rail transit line between Mount Dennis and Kennedy.

Starting “as early as” Friday, January 11, crews work longer hours to complete utility-access portal (“manhole”) construction

  • at the southeast corner of the intersection of Eglinton Avenue East with Mount Pleasant Road

near the site of the future Mount Pleasant Station.

Crews start working:

  • Mondays to Saturdays from 6 a.m. until 1 a.m.; and
  • Sundays from 7 a.m. until 7 p.m.

Building the utility access portal is part of the project to build a new storm-sewer system that crews started in fall 2017. Completing the storm-sewer system is necessary so the crews can also complete shallow excavation activities on the southeast corner of the intersection.

Longer working hours at the future Mount Pleasant Station continues “for approximately three (3) weeks” or until February 2.
