Eglinton Crosstown LRT - Kennedy:
Overnight concrete pour, December 7

Eglinton Crosstown header.jpg

Metrolinx contractors continue building the future Eglinton Crosstown light rail transit line between Mount Dennis and Kennedy.

From 4 until 10 a.m. Friday, December 7, crews are delivering and pouring cement to support construction of the portal into the underground Kennedy LRT Station

  • on Eglinton Avenue East between Ionview Road and Kennedy Road

near the future Ionview stop.

Crews have already set up concrete jersey barriers, creating a traffic-free work zone in the centre lanes of Eglinton East.

Concrete trucks enter and exit from the work zone west of Ionview Road about every three to four minutes. They enter and leave the site at two locations:

  • through a gap in the jersey barriers in front of 2361 Eglinton Avenue East to stage (queue) near Kennedy Road; and
  • from west of Ionview Road at the end of the future portal.

  • 334 Eglinton East overnight.

For motorists:

  • The centre lanes are blocked. Expect delays between Kennedy and Ionview Roads.
