Paving on Bathurst at Worth / Flamingo

Metrolinx and York Region contractors continue building a rapidway — bus-only lanes in the centre of the roadway — along Highway 7 West, Centre and Bathurst Streets between Dufferin and Yonge Streets.

From 9:30 a.m. until 3 p.m. Tuesday, December 4 and Wednesday, December 5, crews are paving

  • Bathurst Street at the intersection with Worth Boulevard / Flamingo Road.

Tuesday, during stage 1, crews pave northbound lanes through the intersection. The work zone blocks access to and from Flamingo at Bathurst and restricts traffic to just one northbound lane.

Wednesday, during stage 2, crews pave southbound lanes through the intersection. The work zone blocks access to and from Worth at Bathurst and restricts traffic to just one southbound lane.

Work zones will not block access to driveways.

Traffic-control personnel and “paid-duty” York Regional Police officers will be on-site to direct traffic.

York Region Transit may temporarily relocate bus stops near the work zone. Passengers aboard buses along these routes can also expect delays:

  • Viva orange;
  • 23 Thornhill Woods; and
  • 88 Bathurst.
