PRESTO website unavailable, November 8 to 12



The PRESTO website will be unavailable from about 10 p.m. Thursday, November 8 until early Monday, November 12 during testing. During this time, you can use your card for travel as usually, but expect delays in receiving transaction and trip information in your account.

PRESTO says it’s testing parts of its backup computer network to make sure it can support the fare-card system effectively in the event of a technical issue with its main computer network. According to PRESTO, “This type of testing is common and a best practice in the information technology industry.”

If you normally use the website to load funds or passes, you can set-up autoload to make sure you always have funds on your card. During the test, you can load your card in person at a customer service outlet, many Shoppers Drug Mart stores, PRESTO self-serve reload machines, fare-vending machines in TTC Stations or ticket-vending machines in some GO Transit and UP Express stations.
