Dufferin Street construction affects
TTC service, September 10 to November 30

Monday, September 10, City of Toronto contractors start a project to resurface the roadway on

  • Dufferin Street between Bloor and Dundas Streets West.

The work zone restricts traffic on Dufferin to just one lane in each direction.

TTC passengers aboard buses along this route can expect delays:

  • 29 Dufferin.

During this project, crews are:

  • digging up the road surface;
  • re-aligning and adjusting maintenance holes and catch basins;
  • repairing or replacing damaged sections of curbs and sidewalks;
  • removing the top layer of asphalt;
  • repairing the base concrete; and
  • repaving the roadway.

Contractors work on the project in two phases.

First, from Monday, September 10 until Wednesday, October 31, they work between Bloor Street West and College Street. Then, from Thursday, November 1 until Friday, November 11, they work between College and Dundas Street West. The City is posting signs to direct and support the safe travel of all road users, including pedestrians, cyclists and motorists.

Crews mostly work Mondays to Fridays from 7 a.m. until 7 p.m., but may occasionally work after hours and weekends to keep the project on schedule.
