The City of Hamilton is closing:

  • Bay Street North between York Boulevard and King Street West

Thursday, February 8 morning and early afternoon to accommodate the Ontario Hockey League’s Hamilton Bulldogs as they host the Barrie Colts during annual School Day game at First Ontario Centre.

Burlington Transit are likely detouring buses operating along these routes while the street is closed (but has not announced detour-routing information):

From 9 a.m. until 2 p.m. Thursday, February 8, Burlington-bound buses operate along their regular routes to King Street West and Bay Street, then proceed:

westward along King West;
northward along Hess Street North; and then
eastward along York Boulevard to Bay North
resuming their regular route northward along Bay.

Burlington-bound buses drop off or pick up passengers at all stops.

Hamilton-bound buses operate along their regular routes.

resuming their regular route eastward along York.

Outbound buses skip their regular stop

  • on Bay Street South across from George Street and
  • on Bay Street North north of King Street West.

Instead, outbound buses drop off or pick up passengers at a temporary stop

  • on York Boulevard east of Hess Street North and at Bay Street North.
