Oakville Transit revises routes and services,
December 31

Oakville Transit is revising the paths for buses operating along three routes, starting New Year’s Eve, Sunday, December 31.

That’s good news for passengers, because two of those routing changes introduce Oakville Transit service into new areas of Oakville.

However, this service change also offers bad news, since OT is also decreasing the frequency of service or decreasing the hours of service along several routes, including one it’s extending into the parts of the town.

Oakville Transit is revising service along these routes: 1 Trafalgar, 5 Dundas, 4 Speers - Cornwall, 11 Linbrook, 12 Winston Park, 14 Lakeshore West, 19 River Oaks, 26 Falgarwood, 71 White Oaks high-school special, 80 Holy Trinity high-school special, 80E Holy Trinity East high-school special, 80W Holy Trinity high-school special, 81N Abbey Park / Loyola North high-school special, 81S Abbey Park / Loyola South high-school special, 82 Loyola high-school special, 83 Oakville Trafalgar high-school special, 84 T.A. Blakelock high-school special, 86 Garth Webb high-school special, Late-night service.

Specifically, OT is introducing a new branch of a route; increasing service along routes; decreasing service along routes; increasing the frequency of service along a route; decreasing the frequency of service along routes; revising the paths of buses operating along routes; resuming extra services to and from high schools; and making another change to service.

Making another change to service

Late-night service

Late Night Service is an on-demand, drop-off only bus service only from the Oakville GO Station only. Service is confined to streets along which buses usually operate on their regular routes. Board the bus for your area i Oakville and let the driver know your destination. The driver then creates a drop-off route on the spot, letting you off at the closest bus stop or intersection along the bus route.

Late Night Service buses leave Oakville GO Station at 11:40 p.m., 12:30 and 1:30 a.m., Mondays to Saturdays, and 7:40 p.m. Sundays and holidays. As the route changes every night, buses do not pick you up at any stops other than Oakville GO Station.

Starting New Year’s Eve, Sunday, December 31, at 11:40 p.m. three zones (instead of four) cover northwest, southwest and east Oakville. At 12:30 and 1:30 a.m. two zones cover east and west Oakville.

(Oakville Transit is operating with Saturday schedules New Year’s Eve.)

^Late night service zones until December 30.
