TTC installing PRESTO fare gates
at Bloor - Yonge Station, starting October 23

The TTC continues to install new PRESTO fare gates at more stations.

Bloor - Yonge Station is next.

TTC crews are removing turnstiles and high gates and replacing them with new, PRESTO-enabled, paddle-style fare gates. The new gates provide easier access and improve the flow of passengers into and out of stations.

Starting Monday, October 23, crews work at the main entrance. You can enter the station through the collector booth aisle or through a temporary station collector entrance. The TTC is setting up a temporary PRESTO-card reader beside the fare collector, during construction.

Starting Thursday, October 26, crews work at the south entrance (Xerox Centre). You can only enter the station through a temporary station collector aisle. The regular collector booth will be open only so you can buy fares. You can’t enter the station through that aisle.

Starting Wednesday, November 1, crews work at the Yonge Street automatic entrance. The TTC is closing the entrance from 11 p.m. November 11 “until the middle of January”, or until January 19. When crews finish working, you can only access this entrance with a PRESTO card.

PRESTO fare-gate construction at Bloor - Yonge Station continues until January 19.
