TTC detour, April 8 and 9

Toronto Hydro crews are working in the westbound lanes of

  • Eglinton Avenue East between Thermos Road and Warden Avenue

overnight from 10 p.m. Saturday, April 8 until 6 a.m. Sunday, April 9.

(The work is to prepare for upcoming Metrolinx construction of the Eglinton - Crosstown light rail transit line.

The TTC is detouring buses operating along these routes, while the lanes are closed:

  • 34 Eglinton East; and
  • 334 Eglinton East overnight.

From 10 p.m. Saturday, April 8 until 6 a.m. Sunday, April 9, westbound buses operate along their regular route to Eglinton Avenue East and Thermos Road, then detour:

northward along Thermos;
westward along Ashtonbee Road; and then
southward along Warden Avenue to Eglinton East,
resuming their regular route westward along Eglinton.

Westbound buses skip their regular stops

  • on Eglinton Avenue East across from #2001 Eglinton East and at Prudham Gate and Warden Avenue.

Instead, westbound buses drop off or pick up passengers at a temporary stop

  • on Warden Avenue at Eglinton Avenue East.

Eastbound buses operate along their regular route.
