Scugog Street Bowmanville construction:
DRT detour starts January 23



Starting Monday, January 23, the Municipality of Clarington is closing:

  • the intersection of Scugog Street with Bons Avenue

as part of a long-term reconstruction project to install curbs and a sewer system, and extend all infrastructure for the future residential development of lands to the north.

Durham Region Transit is detouring buses operating along this route, while the intersection is closed:

  • 502 North Bowmanville.

Construction at Scugog / Bons and the DRT detours continue until February 6.

502 North Bowmanville

From Monday, January 23 until Monday, February 6, buses operate along their regular route to Bons Avenue and Argent Street, then detour:

southward along Argent; and then
westward along Goodwin Avenue to Scugog Street,
resuming their regular route southward along Scugog.

Buses skip their regular stops

  • on Bons Avenue at Gimblett Street and
  • on Scugog Street south of Bons Avenue.
