Eglinton Crosstown LRT -- Bathurst:
Roadway restoration, August 16, 17

eglinton crosstown logo.png

Metrolinx contractors are working to build the future Eglinton Crosstown light rail transit line.

Crews have almost finished building the headwalls for the Bathurst Station along the underground portion of the line. Headwalls are underground support walls at the east and west ends of an underground station. They create the frame for the future stations and must be in place before tunnel-boring machines arrive at each station site.

Since they’ve almost finished this part of the project, they’re restoring the roadway. They’ll work overnight from 9 p.m. tonight, Sunday, August 15 until 6 a.m. tomorrow, Monday, August 16 to reduce the impact on traffic. They’ll work again from 9 p.m. tomorrow until 6 a.m. Tuesday, August 18. Expect noise and asphalt odors during this work.

During construction of the future Bathurst Station, TTC passengers should expect delays for buses operating along these routes:

  • 7 Bathurst;
  • 32 Eglinton West;
  • 307 Eglinton West overnight; and
  • 310 Bathurst overnight.
