Some PRESTO services unavailable
after 10 p.m. tonight until January 19

PRESTO is upgrading its system, it says, “to prepare for the launch of the Union Pearson Express service this spring”.

Upgrading the system affects some PRESTO services after 10 p.m. tonight, Thursday, January 15 until early Monday, January 19. These services will be unavailable:

  • ordering new and replacement cards;
  • accessing personal PRESTO accounts on-line or by phone;
  • loading funds on-line or by phone;
  • registering and activating new cards;
  • reporting lost or stolen cards;
  • setting up or changing autoload contracts;
  • transferring balances from old to new cards;
  • accessing parts of the PRESTO website;
  • updating account information on the PRESTO website or by phone

You can’t process “GO Train Service Guarantee” claims through the PRESTO website, while upgrading occurs. Instead, make claims in person at GO stations.

PRESTO says that updating transactions on-line may be delayed; all transactions that you complete during this time should appear in your transaction history by January 21.

PRESTO will restore on-line services early on January 19, in time for the morning commute.

You can continue using your PRESTO card for travel during the upgrade and, hopefully, you pre-loaded your card with funds before today, so that you have sufficient funds.

PRESTO has scheduled another outage next weekend, Friday, January 23 and Saturday, January 24.
