PRESTO will soon merge the system for all Ottawa and Greater Toronto and Hamilton Area customers. This means PRESTO customers in the Greater Toronto Area and Hamilton can use their cards in Ottawa.

To make this change, PRESTO’s website and on-line services will be temporarily unavailable this weeked from from Friday, January 10 until Sunday, January 12.

This week, from Sunday, January 5 until Sunday, January 12, you can’t perform these tasks on prestocard.ca:

  • buying a card on line; and
  • ordering a replacement card on line.

From Friday, January 10 until Sunday, January 12, you can’t perform these tasks on prestocard.ca:

  • accessing your account on line;
  • loading your card with funds on line or by phone;
  • registering your card;
  • activating your card;
  • setting up “autoload” or “requested renew” contracts;
  • transferring your balance to a new card;
  • using the “Contact Us” form on the website;
  • processing service Guarantee claims;
  • hotlisting your lost or stolen card

PRESTO will restore all services Monday, January 13.

Although you may see a delay in your transactions and history on January 13, PRESTO will be working to update as quickly as possible.

Make sure you load your card online by January 8 to make sure you have sufficient funds to travel over this period.

GO Transit passengers can continue to use PRESTO to pay their GO fare and load funds at all GO stations and at Toronto Union Station during this time.
