Oakville Transit detours, June 3 to 15



The Town of Oakville is closing

  • Watson Avenue between Spruce Street and Galt Avenue,

for about two weeks, starting Monday, June 3. Region of Halton contractors are working on a project to replace the waste-water mains.

Oakville Transit is detouring buses operating along the 11 Linbrook route, while the street is closed.

From Monday, June 3 until Saturday, June 15, eastbound buses operate along their regular route to Reynolds and Spruce Streets, then detour:

eastward along Spruce to Watson Avenue,
resuming their regular route northward along Watson.

Eastbound buses skip their regular stops

  • on MacDonald Road east of Reynolds Street and at Watson Avenue.

Instead, eastbound buses drop off or pick up passengers at a temporary stop

  • on Spruce Street east of Reynolds Street.

Westbound buses reverse the detour routing.

Westbound buses skip their regular stops

  • on MacDonald Road west of Watson Avenue and at Reynolds Street.

Instead, eastbound buses drop off or pick up passengers at a temporary stop

  • on Reynolds Street north of Spruce Street.
