You betcha! Starting June 23



Starting tomorrow, Saturday, June 23, GO Transit is operating summer weekend GO train service along the Barrie corridor Saturdays, Sundays and holidays until Labour Day, Monday, September 3.

Each day, six southbound GO trains bring passengers to Union Station along the 65 Barrie line. Two start their trips at Allandale Waterfront GO Station, stopping at all stations along the line, while four start at East Gwillimbury GO Station and also stop at all stations. Six northbound trains leave Union Station each day. Two trains stop at all stations until Allandale Waterfront and four stop at all stations until East Gwillimbury.

GO buses operating along the 68 Barrie / Newmarket route meet all trains starting and ending their trips in East Gwillimbury and serve all stops to and from the Downtown Barrie Bus Terminal.


65 Barrie trains

Starting Saturday, June 23, GO operates trains along the line Saturdays, Sundays and holidays. This pilot project to test whether weekend service along the line attracts enough riders to make it a permanent part of GO’s service ends Labour Day, Monday, September 3.

Southbound trains leave Allandale Waterfront GO Station in Barrie at 10:20 a.m. and 5 p.m. Saturdays, Sundays and holidays. They serve all stations along the line, arriving in Union Station at 11:58 a.m. and 6:38 p.m.

More southbound trains leave East Gwillimbury GO Station at 1:50, 4:12, 8 and 10:55 p.m. They arrive in Union at 2:21, 5:13, 9:01 and 11:56 p.m.

Northbound trains leave Union at 5:25 p.m. Saturdays, Sundays and holidays and 12:10 a.m. Sundays, Mondays and the day after holidays. They arrive in Allandale Waterfront at 7:02 p.m. and 1:45 a.m.

More northbound trains leave Union at 12:10, 3:01, 6:50 and 9:41 p.m. They arrive in East Gwillimbury at 1:09, 4, 7:49 and 10:40 p.m.

GO is also operating more buses along the 68 Barrie / Newmarket route between the Downtown Barrie Terminal at East Gwillimbury GO Station so that Barrie passengers can connect with all weekend and holiday trains along the line.

68B Barrie / Newmarket

Starting Saturday, June 23, GO operates buses along this new branch, connecting Barrie passengers with weekend and holiday GO trains at East Gwillimbury GO Station.

Southbound buses leave the Downtown Barrie Terminal at 11:46 a.m. and 2:39, 6:29 and 9:24 p.m. Saturdays, Sundays and holidays. They arrive in East Gwillimbury GO Station bus terminal at 12:55, 3:47, 7:35 and 10:30 p.m.

Northbound buses leave East Gwillimbury at 1:19, 4:10, 7:59 and 10:50 p.m. They arrive in Barrie at 2:34, 5:25, 9:09 p.m. and 12:01 a.m.
