Barrie Transit raises fares, March 1



Starting Monday, March 1, it will cost you ten cents more to ride all Barrie Transit buses — if you’re younger than 65 years old.

Cash fares for adults younger than 65, students and children increase from $2.50 to $2.60. Cash fares for seniors — adults 65 years of age or older — remain at $2.25.

Barrie Transit is also increasing the costs of monthly passes and fare cards. The new rates for buying monthly and semester passes go into effect today, Monday, February 15.

Adult fares for B.A.C.T.S. (Barrie Accessible Community Transit Service) is increasing, too.
