Oakwood / St. Clair construction affects TTC bus service,
starting June 22

On Monday, June 22, TTC and the City of Toronto contractors start to rebuild the streetcar track right-of-way at the intersection of Oakwood Avenue and St. Clair Avenue West. The work continues for three weeks.

The TTC is detouring buses operating on the 63 Ossington (main route to and from Eglinton West Station), 63A Ossington (short-turn branch to and from St. Clair), 161 Rogers Road and 316 Ossington (overnight) routes during the project. Buses operating on the 312 St.Clair (overnight) and 512 St. Clair services will operate along their regular routes.

63 Ossington

From 6 a.m. on Monday, June 22 until 7 a.m. on Thursday, July 9, southbound buses operating from Eglinton West Station proceed along their regular route to Oakwood and Glenhurst Avenues, then detour:

eastward along Glenhurst;
southward along Winona Avenue; and then
westward along St. Clair Avenue West to Oakwood,
resuming their regular route southward along Oakwood.

Northbound buses operating toward Eglinton West Station proceed along their regular route to Oakwood Avenue and Rosemount Avenue, then detour:

westward along Rosemount;
northward along Glenholme Avenue; and then
eastward along Conway Avenue to Oakwood,
resuming their regular route northward along Oakwood.

63A Ossington

From 6 a.m. on Monday, June 22 until 7 a.m. on Thursday, July 9, southbound buses that have short-turned at St. Clair start their trips at St. Clair Avenue West and Oakwood Avenue (instead of at Oakwood Loop) and proceed along their regular route southward along Oakwood.

Northbound buses short-turning at St. Clair operate along their regular route to Oakwood and Rosemont Avenues, then detour:

westward along Rosemont;
northward along Glenholme Avenue; and then
eastward along St. Clair Avenue West to Oakwood,
ending their trips.

316 Ossington (overnight)
161 Rogers Road

From 6 a.m. on Monday, June 22 until 7 a.m. on Thursday, July 9, southbound buses operate along their regular route to Oakwood and Glenhurst Avenues, then detour:

eastward along Glenhurst;
southward along Winona Avenue; and then
westward along St. Clair Avenue West to Oakwood,
resuming their regular route southward along Oakwood.

Northbound buses operate along their regular route to Oakwood Avenue and Rosemount Avenue, then detour:

westward along Rosemount;
northward along Glenholme Avenue; and then
eastward along Conway Avenue to Oakwood,
resuming their regular route northward along Oakwood.

This work at Oakwood and St. Clair is a key part of Phase 3 of the ongoing City of Toronto and TTC project to build a dedicated light rail right-of-way along St. Clair. You can read more about the project here and here.
