Stores stop selling adult TTC tickets tomorrow

Tomorrow, Sunday, June 29 is the last day that “authorized TTC ticket vendors” will be selling adult tickets to TTC passengers. After tomorrow, retailers will only sell tokens for adult passengers to use as TTC fare.

At its meeting on Wednesday, June 18, the Toronto Transit Commission agreed to eliminate adult tickets. Counterfeiters have targeted the TTC by creating and selling fake tickets, resulting in the TTC losing revenue.

TTC collectors will continue to sell adult tickets until Saturday, September 6. You can use adult tickets on the TTC until Saturday, September 28 and exchange your adult tickets for adult tokens from Monday, September 15 until Friday, October 31.
