Service begins on a new SUNNYBROOK bus, running from Starrett loop (on Eglinton Avenue, just west of Yonge Street) via Eglinton and Bayview Avenues to Sunnybrook Hospital. The entire route is operated within the City fare zone. This route replaces a branch of the EGLINTON, removing service on Blythwood Road between Mount Pleasant and Bayview. It is most likely that the route operated from Eglinton Garage.

Route replaced by an extension of the DAVISVILLE bus, operating from Davisville station. 28 DAVISVILLE and 11 BAYVIEW buses would end up serving Sunnybrook Hospital for the next 37 years. The Sunnybrook route name would not reappear until 1991 with the introduction of 124 SUNNYBROOK.
