Proposals to serve the Warren Park area first materialized in the mid-to-late 70s. Initially, it was proposed that a bus run up Humbercrest Boulevard into the Warren Park area, but the condition of Humbercrest Boulevard made this impossible. Another proposal called for a bus run north on Jane Street and west on St. Mark’s Road into Warren Park.

May 25, 1987

New seasonal rush-hour-only route, running from Jane Station via north on Jane Street and west on Dundas Street, looping clockwise through Warren Park via southeast on Gooch Avenue, southwest on Van Stassen Boulevard, northwest on Varsity, southwest on Crosby Avenue, northwest on Warren Crescent and Lundy Avenue, northeast on Old Dundas Street and east on Dundas. Service provided every 30:00 minutes.

Last day of operation for the year.

May 24, 1988

Service resumed for the season.

November 19, 1988

Last day of operation for the year.

May 23, 1989

Service resumed for the season.

November 24, 1989

Last day of operation for the year. The condition of Old Dundas prevented running service on this route year round. As service was removed for another winter, proposals reemerged to run a bus from Jane station via Jane and St. Marks Drive. However, it was felt that the grade on St. Marks was unsuitable for buses. Reconstruction of Old Dundas next year allowed year-round service to be established.

May 22, 1990

Service resumed for the season.

November 29, 1990

Year-round service now provided. Buses run over the same route as before throughout the year.

June 19, 2006

Service currently operates at 30 minute intervals during Monday to Friday rush hours only.

November 23, 2008

As part of the TTC’s Ridership Growth Strategy, service times are increased so that this bus operates seven days a week, whenever the subway is open.
