Service begins on a new route operating between Islington station on the BLOOR-DANFORTH SUBWAY and Long Branch, replacing the southern end of 37 ISLINGTON and the “A” branch of 80 QUEENSWAY. Buses run from Islington station via south on Islington, west on Judson, south and west on Horner and south on Brown’s Line to Lake Shore Boulevard, looping in Long Branch loop and returning via the reverse route. Service operates seven days a week, 18 hours a day.

February 5, 1984

Service revised to operate from Royal York station running via south on Royal York, west on Evans, south on Islington, west on Judson, south and west on Horner and south on Brown’s Line to Lake Shore Boulevard, looping in Long Branch loop and returning via the reverse route.

In addition to this, a new rush hour branch launched, operating over the regular route to 30th Street, and then proceeding south on 30th and west on Lake Shore Boulevard to Long Branch loop and return.

To eliminate left turns at Islington and Evans, service rerouted back to Islington station, with buses on 15 EVANS operating along Evans and Royal York to Royal York station.
