April 2, 1951

New rush-hours only GERRARD bus route placed in service to feed CARLTON streetcars at Main and Gerrard. From a wye at Victoria Park Avenue via west on Gerrard Street, looping counterclockwise via Main Street, Swanwick Avenue and Kimberly Avenue. One bus in service on a 10:00 minute headway, leaving Main Street from 6:30 a.m. to 9:20 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. daily, and from 6:30 to 9:20 a.m. and 12:00 noon to 1:50 p.m. Saturdays.

New multiple-route transfers in use. 38 GERRARD and 51 MAIN become sub-routes of 62 MORTIMER.

May 10, 1968

Concurrent with the opening of the Bloor-Danforth subway extension to Warden, service ends on 38 Gerrard. Service on Victoria Park provided by new 12 KINGSTON ROAD buses operating directly to Victoria Park station, starting the next day. Service on Gerrard Street east of Main would not resume until the 135 GERRARD bus service is established on January 6, 1986.
