308 Finch East Blue Night

February 9, 1987

New overnight service introduced between Finch Station and Tapscott, along most of the daytime route of 39 FINCH EAST, as part of the new overnight “Blue Night Network” extending night service throughout Metropolitan Toronto. In the east end, buses loop north on Finchdene then west and north on Finchdene Square, west on Newgale and south on Tapscott.

Articulated vehicles replaced with regular 40 foot buses. No change in levels of service.

November 21, 1999

East end looping is expanded. Buses now operate north on Finchdene and then north, west and south on Finchdene Square, west on Newgale and south on Tapscott.

January 2000

(Date approximate) This like is designated as an ACCESSIBLE route with all trips operated by new lift-equipped Orion V buses.

April 1, 2001

Route interlined with 309 FINCH WEST BLUE NIGHT buses at Yonge Street. Upon arrival at Yonge Street, eastbound 309 buses change their route sign to “308 - to Markham Road” while westbound 308 buses change their sign to “309 - to Humberwood”.
