A new rush hour service installed on Caledonia between Eglinton and Cartwright. Buses run from Gilbert Loop via east on Eglinton and north on Caledonia, looping via east on Cartwright, south on Dufferin, west on McAdam, south on Paul David and west on Brentworth.

Service extended south to connect to the BLOOR-DANFORTH SUBWAY. Buses operate on Caledonia south from Eglinton to St. Clair and then via south on Caledonia Park Road, east on Davenport and south on Christie to Christie station. Service increased to seven days a week, eighteen hours a day.

North end looping extended to serve the Yorkdale Shopping Centre. Buses now run via east on Bridgeland to Dufferin and then east, south and west on Yorkdale Road, through the underpass onto southbound Dufferin and west on Orfus.
January 28, 1978
Coincident with the opening of the SPADINA SUBWAY, the north end loop is revised to provide service in both directions on Bridgeland and Orfus, connecting to the new subway at Yorkdale station. The main branch runs via Caledona and Bridgeland, looping clockwise via Yorkdale Road and Dufferin. A new branch, operating during rush hours, runs via Caledonia and Orfus, looping clockwise via Dufferin and Yorkdale Road.
Paper transfers are required to transfer to and from the subway at Yorkdale.

In the north end, buses on both branches now terminate at the new coach terminal adjacent to Yorkdale station. Paper transfers still required to transfer to and from the subway at Yorkdale.

To provide new service on Christie between Davenport and St. Clair and on Davenport, between Christie and Spadina, the southern end of the 18 CALEDONIA route is broken off, with service now provided by 126 CHRISTIE and 127 DAVENPORT buses. Caledonia buses break off the old route at Davenport and Lansdowne and operating south on Lansdowne to Lansdowne station on the BLOOR-DANFORTH SUBWAY, looping via west on Paton and south and east on Wade.

Following the successful test run of bus service on Dovercourt road, Caledonia buses are extended from Lansdowne and Davenport via east on Davenport, south on Dovercourt and east on Bloor to Ossington station, returning west and north over the reverse routing. This service replaces the 94B branch of the 94 WELLESLEY bus.

Last day of service under this route name. As part of a general reorganization of west Toronto routes made possible by the abandoning of trolley bus service, 18 CALEDONIA service on Caledonia is replaced by an extension of the 47 LANSDOWNE bus. Service is discontinued on Caledonia Park between St. Clair and Davenport. Service on Dovercourt is replaced by the new 161 ROGERS ROAD bus.
