In the early 1980s, when Allen Road is extended north to meet Dufferin Street in the Overbrook area, Wilson Heights is made to end in a culled-sac just south of Overbrook. As a result of this, Wilson Heights buses now use Kennard (one block south of Overbrook) to connect in both directions between Wilson Heights and Dufferin/Allen Road.

September 6, 1983
