A new route name is applied to the old 105 WILSON HEIGHTS service. Buses run north from Downsview station via east on Sheppard, north on Wilson Heights, west on Kennard, north on Allen Road and north on Dufferin beyond the existing off-street loop at Centre Street. Buses loop via west on Dufferin Hill, north on Forest Run and east on Rutherford. This is a temporary looping that will operate until the construction of Confederation Parkway is complete

At the request of Vaughan Transit, new Sunday service is added, with buses running every hour through the daytime. Also, the looping at Rutherford is revised to operate via west and north on Confederation Parkway and east on Rutherford (Note: the TTC’s report on Service Improvements for 2003 states that this loop change was effective September 2001)

New low floor buses are scheduled on all trips, allowing higher capacity lift-equipped vehicles to be used on busier routes.

Additional early evening trips added, with the last round trip leaving Downsview station every day at 10 p.m.

Service begins on a 105A branch used for trips operating before Downsview station opens, Mondays through Saturdays. From Dufferin and Allen, buses operate south via Allen Road and Transit Road to Wilson Avenue, connecting to the 319 WILSON BLUE NIGHT bus and the first few southbound trains on the SPADINA SUBWAY. In February 2007, the southern destination sign for the 105A branch was changed from “To Wilson Avenue” to “To Wilson Stn”.

Alternate peak period trips are extended north of Rutherford to Major Mackenzie. This new branch loops in the north end via west and north on Confederation Parkway, north on Peter Rupert, east on Major Mackenzie and south on Dufferin.

November 23, 2008

As part of the TTC’s Ridership Growth Strategy, increasing service on almost every route within the City of Toronto to every 30 minutes or better whenever the subway was open, late evening trips are added operating between Downsview station and Steeles Avenue. These trips loop via west and north on Gerry Fitzgerald and east on Steeles to south on Dufferin.

November 22, 2009

With the opening of bus only lanes and a bus only roadway between Downsview station and York University, buses on 105 DUFFERIN NORTH rerouted to operate from Downsview station, through a new exit directly onto Allen Road, and north from there using the bus-only lanes on Allen Road to the hydro corridor north of Finch, where it continues along its old route.

Service on Wilson Heights between Sheppard and Kennard now provided by a rerouted 104 FAYWOOD bus.

May 8, 2011

Due to a reallocation of resources, service after 10 p.m. on Sundays and holidays is eliminated.
