March 30, 1975

Service begins on a new route connecting the Flemingdon Park residential area in the Don Valley with two subway lines, replacing a portion of the 88 SOUTH LEASIDE route. Buses run from Eglinton station on the YONGE SUBWAY (Bay 10) via east on Eglinton, north on Don Mills, east and south on Wynford Drive, south and east on St. Dennis Drive, south on Deauville, east, south and west on Grenoble, west on Gateway, west on Overlea, south on Millwood and south on Donlands to Donlands station on the BLOOR-DANFORTH SUBWAY. As no bus terminal facilities are available at Donlands station, buses loop via west on Danforth, north on Dewhurst and east on Strathmore. Service is operated out of Davenport Garage.

Reports indicate that controversy erupted over 100 FLEMINGDON PARK's looping arrangement around Donlands station. For unknown reasons, buses were not permitted to stop in front of the subway entrance, forcing passengers to go around the on-street looping before stopping at Strathmore and Donlands so that passengers could walk south to the station entrance. Local residents also objected to buses operating along their street and sometimes parking there.

The TTC assessed the route and decided that most passengers using the service were seeking to get from the subway to the residential and industrial areas around Don Mills, and it didn't matter to them which subway station was used to terminate the route.

January 4, 1976

Buses are rerouted south of Leaside bridge to operate via south on Pape, west on O'Connor and south on Broadview to the bus terminal at Broadview station. Service on Donlands was already being provided by a branch of the 8 BROADVIEW bus. Also, to avoid a left turn onto Don Mills from Wynford, buses heading towards Eglinton station now run west on Wynford and south on Gervais Drive to Eglinton, rather than using Don Mills.
