Arrow Road Garage

The official opening of the Arrow Road Garage, located on the west side of Arrow Road, between Sheppard Avenue and Finch Avenue (1 block west of Highway 400) took place on November 17, 1988. Thus, the 10th TTC garage commenced operations on November 20, 1988.

The garage was built to ease the load at Wilson, Queensway, and Malvern Garages. When it opened, it took over operation of the following routes:

  • 36 Finch West (from Wilson)
  • 35 Jane (Wilson)
  • 52 Lawrence West (Queensway)
  • 58 Malton (Lansdowne)
  • 59 Maple Leaf (Davenport)
  • 73 Royal York (Lansdowne)
  • 84 Sheppard West (Wilson)
  • 60 Steeles West (Eglinton)

The 230,000 square foot facility has 2 wash racks and 2 diesel fueling stations. There are 12 40-foot hoists, 2 60-foot hoists, and 4 inspection pit stations.

As of September 1, 2010, Arrow Road is home to 278 buses of NOVA RTS, OBI - ORION VII DSL (ISL), and OBI - ORION VII NG HEV types. The Arrow Road Division currently operates these routes: 99 ARROW ROAD, 120 CALVINGTON, 108 DOWNSVIEW, 309 FINCH EAST (NIGHT), 36 FINCH WEST, 308 FINCH WEST (NIGHT), 191 HIGHWAY 27 ROCKET, 27 ISLINGTON, 317 ISLINGTON (NIGHT), 35 JANE, 45 KIPLING, 46 MARTIN GROVE, 84 SHEPPARD WEST, 312 ST. CLAIR (NIGHT), 60 STEELES WEST, 165 WESTON ROAD NORTH, 96 WILSON and 317 WILSON (NIGHT).
