Eglinton Crosstown LRT - Mount Pleasant:
Overnight road closure, TTC detour

Eglinton Crosstown header.jpg

Metrolinx contractors continue building the future Eglinton Crosstown light rail transit line between Mount Dennis and Kennedy.

From 9 p.m. Monday, November 4 until 5 a.m. Tuesday, November 5, the City of Toronto is closing

  • Mount Pleasant Road between Roehampton Avenue and Eglinton Avenue West

to accommodate the Metrolinx contractors who are installing a new traffic bridge at the site of the future Mount Pleasant Station.

The crews are installing the temporary traffic bridge on the northeast corner of Mount Pleasant Road and Eglinton Avenue East. The temporary traffic bridge allows crews to work on both corners of the intersection, while traffic travels safely over top. They’re also erecting a mobile crane in the Mount Pleasant roadway.

Northbound traffic on Mount Pleasant must turn left or right onto Eglinton East during the closure. Southbound traffic must turn left or right onto Roehampton Avenue.

The TTC is also detouring buses, while the street is closed.
