No subway service, Wilson to St Clair West,
after 11 p.m. April 15 to 18

The TTC is closing the Line 1 Yonge - University subway after 11 p.m. this week, between Wilson and St Clair West stations. From Monday, April 15 until Thursday, April 18, Line 1 trains operate only between Vaughan Metropolitan Centre and Wilson stations and between St Clair West and Finch stations after 11 p.m.

During this closure, TTC crews are maintaining the tracks, keeping them in a state of good repair.

Shuttle buses partially replace subway service, dropping off or picking up passengers on the street near most stations on the closed section of the line. Note that the buses do not stop at Glencairn Station — instead, they serve passengers on Marlee Avenue at Glencairn Avenue.

Most stations on the closed section of Line 1 remain open so that passengers can connect with buses and streetcars or buy fares. However, Yorkdale and Glencairn stations are closed.

WheelTrans service is available if you need accessible service in the closure area. Wilson Station is not yet an accessible station, so, if you’re travelling southbound on the University branch of Line 1 and you need an elevator, exit at Sheppard West Station and ask any TTC employee about Wheel-Trans service.

This is the first time this year that the TTC has closed this section of Line 1.

It has scheduled just one more closure of this part of the line in 2019.
