Partial intersection closure, TTC detour

Metrolinx contractors continue building the future Eglinton Crosstown light rail transit line between Mount Dennis and Kennedy.

From 5 a.m. Saturday, April 6 until 11 p.m. Sunday, April 7, crews continue building the LRT “guideway” — the transit-only lanes in the centre of the roadway, including tracks and passenger amenities and relocating telecommunication infrastructure lines

  • at the intersection of Eglinton Avenue East at Pharmacy Avenue

near the site of the future Pharmacy stop.

Crews started working at the intersection in November and continue this weekend to repave the roadway. The City of Toronto is closing curb lanes on the south side of Eglinton Avenue East at Pharmacy, blocking through traffic from passing north- and southward through the intersection.

Just one lane of traffic is available for traffic in each direction on Eglinton East. Traffic operates only on the north side of Eglinton.
