Lakeshore Connecting Communities
in Mississauga: Open houses, July 12, 16, 24

Lakeshore Connecting Communities.jpg

The City of Mississauga’s Lakeshore Connecting Communities project is about planning for the future of Lakeshore Road. This master plan study reviews how best to connect the communities of Clarkson, Port Credit and Lakeview, while preserving and enhancing the unique character and sense of place of each community.

The study builds on other recent planning studies to develop a design for the Lakeshore Road corridor that supports all modes of transportation, connects people to places, and moves goods to market. The study also evaluates rapid transit alternatives east of Hurontario Street and extending rapid transit into the Port Credit area.

Drop in to any one of the final open houses for the study to learn about the proposed recommendations and provide input on:

  • a phased approach to rapid transit
  • cycling and pedestrian network improvements
  • conceptual design and public realm enhancements
  • Credit River crossing recommendations

You’ll have the opportunity to visit information stations, share your ideas and discuss these with the project team.
