TTC detours, April 17 to 20



Update — Monday, April 16, 3:32 p.m.: The TTC has postponed the work and the detour — orginally scheduled fro April 16 to 19 — to April 17 to 20.


Starting 9:30 a.m. Tuesday, April 17, TTC crews are repairing the streetcar tracks on Queen Street East at Kingswood Road.

The TTC is detouring streetcars operating along these routes during the project:

  • 301 Queen overnight;
  • 501 Queen.

Shuttle buses replace the cars east of Coxwell Avenue.

From 9:30 a.m. Monday, April 17 until 5 a.m. Friday, April 20, streetcars start and end their trips in Woodbine Loop on the northeast corner of Kingston Road and Queen Street East.

Westbound cars skip their regular stops

  • in Neville Park Loop and
  • on Queen Street East at Neville Park Boulevard, Silver Birch Avenue, Spruce Hill Road, Glen Manor Drive, Wineva and Lee Avenues, Waverley Road, Elmer and Woodbine Avenues and Lockwood Road.

Shuttle buses replace the cars, operating between Neville Park Loop and Kingston Road / Eastern Avenue.

Eastbound cars skip their regular stops

  • on Queen Street East at Sarah Ashbridge, Woodbine and Kippendavie Avenues, Waverley Road, Lee and Wineva Avenues, Scarborough Beach Boulevard, Glen Manor Drive, Maclean, Beech and Silver Birch Avenues and Neville Park Boulevard and
  • in Neville Park Loop.

Shuttle buses replace the cars, operating between Coxwell Avenue and Neville Park Loop. Eastbound streetcar passengers may transfer to eastbound buses on Queen Street East at Coxwell and Eastern Avenues.

301 / 501 Queen shuttle bus

From 9:30 a.m. Monday, April 16 until 5 a.m. Thursday, April 19, buses replace streetcars along the 301 Queen overnight and 501 Queen routes east of Coxwell Avenue.

Westbound buses start their trips in Neville Park Loop, then proceed:

westward along Queen Street East; and then
southward along Eastern Avenue to just south of Queen East,
ending their trips.

Westbound buses drop off or pick up passengers at stops

  • in Neville Park Loop,
  • on Queen Street East at Neville Park Boulevard, Silver Birch Avenue, Spruce Hill Road, Glen Manor Drive, Wineva and Lee Avenues, Waverley Road, Elmer and Woodbine Avenues and Lockwood Road and
  • on Eastern Avenue south of Queen Street East.

Westbound bus passengers may transfer to westbound streetcars from the stop on Eastern Avenue south of Queen Street East.

Eastbound buses start their trips on Eastern Avenue south of Queen Street East, then proceed:

south- and westward along Eastern;
northward along Coxwell Avenue;
eastward along Queen Street East; and then
southward into Neville Park Loop,
ending their trips.

Eastbound buses drop off or pick up passengers at stops

  • on Eastern Avenue south of Queen Street East,
  • on Coxwell Avenue north of Eastern Avenue,
  • on Queen Street East at Sarah Ashbridge, Woodbine and Kippendavie Avenues, Waverley Road, Lee and Wineva Avenues, Scarborough Beach Boulevard, Glen Manor Drive, Maclean, Beech and Silver Birch Avenues and Neville Park Boulevard and
