Glenashton construction, starting December 11:
Oakville Transit relocating stops

Update — Sunday, April 1, 2018. 6:27 p.m.: Construction resumes and Oakville Transit again relocates bus stops, starting Monday, April 2.

Town of Oakville contractors have started to build the Crosstown Trail, a multi-use recreational pathway across north-central Oakville, along the north side of Glenashton Drive.

Starting Monday, December 11, crews block the westbound curb lane of the street. Oakville Transit is temporarily relocating bus stops to accommodate the work.

It’s relocating:

  • stop #3151 on Trafalgar Road at Glenashton Drive to the far side of the intersection, south of Glenashton. Buses operating along the 1 Trafalgar, 5 Dundas and 24 South Common Centre / Oakville GO route drop off or pick up passengers at the new site. Buses operating along the 19 River Oaks route do not serve the stop in its temporary location.
  • stops #s 2870, 2238 and 2827 on the north side of Glenashton at Taunton Road and Sawgrass and Windfield Drives to the far side of the intersections, west of each of the cross streets. Buses operating along the 19 River Oaks and 190 River Oaks express routes continue to drop off or pick up passengers at the stops in their temporary locations.

Construction on Glenashton Drive continues to affect Oakville Transit service “until the end of January” or until January 31.
